Today I downloaded Picasa...and I have been on here for hours! But, I really like the ease of use...cause I ain't no techie! The only thing is, it didn't really have all the effects I am looking for. I want a really grainy, faded, antiqie look. I'm not sure yet the correct name for it, but I see it alot...and love it! Oh well, I will search around for more photo editing programs on the WWW! If anyone knows of a good, free program please leave a comment and let me know...
Thank you!
I would recommend GIMP. It is a free version that is similar to photoshop
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandee, I just left your blog...love it! I will try GIMP...thanks!
DeleteYour pictures are beautiful Nan! I use PicMonkey. Many effects are free.
ReplyDeleteThank you Hilda, I do love PicMonkey...I am working on the hubs to get the full version...but no go ...YET!
DeleteI haven't tried Picasa though I have heard great things about it. I do use PicMonkey and love it. There are a lot of free effects on it. Cathy
ReplyDeleteHi, Cathy, They're both easy to use, or I wouldn't be using them...I have to have simple! I used Ribbit too...I think I spelled that right...so far PicMonkey was the easiest. I'm going to try the others that were recommended also. Thanks for looking!
DeleteI use pisca for personal collages, I've never used it for my blog I don't think but I completely agree with you. You have that freedom of placing things anywhere you want and as much as you want. I love it. However for my blog graphics I use Picmonkey, Canva, or Polyvore.
ReplyDeleteHi Jazmine, I know! Isn't it fun to play around with all this stuff? I took a lot of pictures on Tuesday of my Grandparents old house...I grew up living beside them and I got some shots of the simple little things that I remember most about growing up there. It's been empty for a few years now and is in bad condition...but the memories are still there. My parents still live in the house I grew up in next door to my Grandparents so I still get to see the old place. Thanks for visiting!
